EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE

When it comes to court and allegations of violence and abuse often it is a “he said/she said” situation.

Abuse cases include a variety of crimes and a variety of consequences. The defendant usually faces heavy fines, jail or prison time and many other devastating consequences. If you or your children are the victim of abuse it vital that the truth be found and the abuser faces the consequences of his/her actions.

Being falsely accused of a domestic abuse case may bring life-changing consequences. One's reputation, career, family and freedom are all placed in jeopardy if the truth isn't revealed.  For attorneys defending and prosecuting these cases it can be difficult to  shift through all the emotion to find the truth.

Often abusers follow identifiable patterns of behavior.  At Evidence Based Inc. part of our assessment uses MOSAIC analysis. This tool has been used by U.S. Supreme Court Police to assess threats to the Justices, by the U.S. Marshals Service for screening threats to judicial officials, by the U.S. Capitol Police for threats against Members of Congress, by police agencies protecting the governors of eleven states, by many large corporations, and by many universities. We are the only privately held firm authorized to use MOSIAC.

The MOSIAC system is unique because it does not try to put individuals into categories, rather it gives an in-depth evaluation of your individual situation over time. This report goes far beyond the “he said/she said”, is objective, and qualifies under Evidence Code 730 as admissible in court.
